Canadian Simmard won the Mac Diarmida Stakes By a nose over favourite Newsdad.
Another Canadian who was in the field and also trained by Attfield was Musketier who was making his 10-year-old season debut. Musketier earned $15,000 for coming third witch surpass the $1 million mark.
